something is in the air pt 3

it’s week two of this adventure into college football betting insanity.  just remember this is for entertainment purposes only.  if you take my advice i am not responsible for your loses and/or ruined home life.

oregon st at cincinnati.  oregon st will win at least 5 games this year.  they won last week so they are due for around 4 more.  i know nothing about cincinnati other than pete rose played baseball there and knew some bookies.  so that being said take the 3 1/2 points and oregon st wins it’s second game.

california at colorado st.  cal is for real.  this colorado team is not.  take the 14 points and cal is 2-0.

boise st at washington.  ty and his boys did a nice job last week.  this week they have boise st who is sorta one of the darlings of college football these days.  they aren’t going to be playing on their smurf blue field where they usually win.  boise is a 3 point favorite.  pretty close and damn near a toss up.  yep, washington covers or wins.

notre dame at penn st.  penn is favored by 17 1/2 points.  it might be too many.  charlie weis didn’t win 3 super bowl rings playing dominoes during the week.  however, the golden domers are in for it this year.  take the 17 1/2 points and penn st wins.

byu at ucla.  this could be a fun game to watch though not as much fun as my last pick for the week.  at any rate i have to be in pasadena this saturday for some family business.  with the afternoon game it means the 210 west will be a parking lot for most of the day.  east as well.  good thing i know the secret city street routes.  ucla is a 7 1/2 point favorite.  it has gone up a half a point for whatever reason.  ucla is good this year.  take the 7 1/2 points and ucla is 2-0.

air force at utah.  air force is like oregon st they will win 5 or so games this year as well.  they won last week.  utah is a 7 1/2 point favorite.  it’s come down from 8 points.  probably because air force is such a fun team to watch play.  they play like they are still in the old wac of the old days.  real wild bunch stuff.  a wide open offense that will run anything from the old single wing to the veer and more, all in one play.  or so it would seem.  i’m surprised they haven’t trotted out the old red sanders serpentine coming out of the huddle thingy.  at any rate, this is one of those heart on my sleeve and head up my ass deals that i said i was going to try and avoid.  yeah, well i try and avoid lots of stuff but it rarely works.  air force covers the 7 1/2 points or wins.

there ya go.  my picks for week 2 of the college football season.  it’s just cranking up and so am i.  or maybe i’m just getting crankier.  like the saying goes, ‘buyer beware’, this stuff is for fun only and if you take it to your sports guy and get your clock cleaned it’s not my fault.  it’s your fault because you are a dumb ass for thinking i know what i’m talking about.
